Fader is a busy bee in the Belgian scene. He started out as a music journalist for several magazines and at the age of 21 he became responsable for the bookings at the famous Fuse club in Brussels. At N.E.W.S. in Ghent, the biggest indie dance music distributor in the Benelux, he assists in handling labels such as Music Man and Eskimo.
There he also got the chance to start up his own imprint Curle Recordings (http://www.curle.be) in 2006. The label quickly made itself a name with 12"s from Mark August, Dub Kult and Efdemin. Some of the tracks got licensed to mixes from Sven Väth and Richie Hawtin amongst others. In 2008 the first Curle CD, mixed by Efdemin, got released to high international acclaim. 2009 brought contributions from Martyn, Soulphiction, John Beltran and Convextion to name but a few. Now 2010 started promising, with new tracks from the visionary Thomas Brinkmann and fast rising talent Peter Van Hoesen, the first Curle label compilation and a Curle residency at Fuse in Brussels. Later on this year, you can expect more exciting stuff from Nina Kraviz, DJ Qu, Jonas Kopp...
Fader is DJ'ing since 1997 and plays a blend of deep techno, mnml and house. Constantly looking for those special tracks, but always with the dancefloor in mind. He already played at all the most important clubs and parties throughout Belgium, such as Fuse, I Love Techno, 10 Days Off, Silo, Kozzmozz, Brussels Electronic Music Festival, City Parade, Fuse On The Beach... There he shared the decks with Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Jeff Mills, Efdemin, Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Joris Voorn, Adam Beyer, Raresh, Luciano, Reboot, Shed, Seth Troxler, Tama Sumo, Prosumer, Sascha Dive, Thomas Brinkmann, Atom TM, Robert Hood, Martin Buttrich and James Holden just to name a few. Next to that there's the occasional booking in Finland, Holland (Doornroosje), Berlin (Maria am Ostbahnhof), Hamburg (Golden Pudel), Geneva (Weetamix)... Every 4th Friday of the month Fader has his own hour on Switch, the dance show on national radio station Studio Brussels. Because of his many occupations there hasn't been time yet for own productions, apart from the odd studio session with his good friend Peter Van Hoesen. One day...
