Like each year after summer we have a traditional Kozzmozz party at Vooruit that will happen on Saturday September 20th. No huge head-liner this time but two of our old time favorites and one who’s been on our wish-list for a long time ! And all three guests have been living and breathing techno since the very early days …
Headlining is Cisco or The Advent. Cisco started producing Techno and performing live Techno shows years before the rest of the world had even heard of the genre. He released his first track in 1988, was a pioneer of the Live PA (or Live Public Address – performing Techno live in front of an audience using electronic music gear), and, if all that wasn’t enough, he even worked as the sound engineer on some of Derrick May’s, Adonis & Fingers Inc’s recording sessions!
Our second guest DJ Bone is to some the champion of the underground. Others see him for the first time and ask the person dancing like crazy next to them, "Where did THIS guy come from?" Think of Detroit Techno and DJ Bone might not be high on your list of luminaries because he is 100% independent and does things on his terms and on his terms only. He won't tap dance or bend to fit the ‘popular’ dj mold. Those who recognize Bone know him for his uncompromising and innovative ways and incredible technical wizardry.
And also Inigo Kennedy is a pioneering and respected techno and electronic music producer and DJ. He is well known for always bringing technical and creative originality and skill to his work. He is the owner of the innovative and genre defying label Asymmetric. He has also been responsible for a large and diverse back catalogue of releases on a wide variety of labels and projects around the World. His discography stretches to almost 100 releases on vinyl, CD and as MP3.
Belgium will be represented by our resident Kr!z and one of Fuse clubs longest running residents Deg.

Tomorrowland a big success !

Right from the start the Kozzmozz tent filled up nicely with partyheadz who enjoyed Spacid’s set , warming up nicely, just like the temperatures. Pierre took over but the over-heated tent and his quite full on set , proved a bit too much for our loyal fans, we forgive you J. Luckely there were some die hard Steve Bug fans who cheered on their idol all throughout his set , which was simply brilliant, the usual deep and full Steve Bug sound all the way ! Perfect for Steve Rachmad to continue and slowly build it up with more Detroit and melodic techno. And then our resident Kr!z started to bring on the full Kozzmozz techno sound and as it became a ‘little’ bit cooler , the K fans also came back from all corners of the huge Tomorrowland grounds and the tent was full again by the time Chris Liebing took over. He clearly enjoyed himself a lot, as did the crowd. We went out with a bang as Ben Sims and Surgeon delivered us their Frequency 7 project !
We loved it and from the smiles on your faces, we think you did too ! See u next year and thank you and congratulations to ID&T !
Kozzmozz regrets to have to inform you that Claude Young will not play on Tomorrowland.
Although ID&T & Kozzmozz did everything possible to meet the necessary requirements, they felt no cooperation from the other side to do all that was possible to have Claude Young play in Belgium on Sunday.
We are however happy to say that we found a worthy replacement with Steve Rachmad. Steve was Kozzmozz’ resident for many, many years and just has a new, big release out. After recent successful releases on Music Man, A.r.t.less and Delsin, the veteran of Dutch techno is back with a release on EC Records, called Surdosong. Label owner Michel De Hey is on the remix duties together with his longtime friend Secret Cinema. Already playlisted by John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Ken Ishii, Funk D’Void, Shinedoe, Fabrice lig, …
We’ve also had to slightly adjust the line-up because Steve Bug can’t be there at 14h30, this is the new line-up :

The Kozzmozz T-shirts for boys had been sold out for a while and your demand was high so it was more than time for new ones.
We decided not to go for new designs but have reprinted some of the most popular ones : the latest ‘Kiss my K’ versions and the ‘old skool’ design with the logo and the Chinese letters. They are available both for guys and girls and will be sold in the promotion stand in or next to the Kozzmozz tent on Tomorrowland festival on Sunday, July 27th.

Kozzmozz is proud to be part of Belgium’s only full worthy open-air dance-festival, Tomorrowland, since day one !
After the great success of the previous years, we had to be there again this year, especially since the festival is now becoming a lot bigger and more spectacular and the additions to the line-ups are extremely impressive with two full days of music !
On Sunday, July 27th we will start the day in our tent a bit more laidback / minimal but will surely build up the pace to what will undoubtedly be a huge climax of a great day !
Ultra resident Spacid will warm up the crowd for Steve Bug. Pierre of Lessizmore will without a doubt perfectly know how to take over from Steve and know how to drive up the tempo before Claude Young takes over the decks. Born and raised in Detroit , he trained around the globe in the art of sonic combat (also literally for those who’ve seen him at work). British Murder Boys have been replaced by Frequency 7. This means that Anthony Child, better known as Surgeon will still be there but his partner this time will not be Regis but Ben Simms ! They will be followed by Chris Liebing is about the only German techno dj. who comes close to Sven Väth. He has been proclaimed best national dj. and came out as best producer and remixer in a lot of polls of magazines. The Kozzmozz tent will be closed in style by our resident Kr!z who – with his unbelievable technique and knowledge of the K-sound – will make the crowd go so crazy that they will undoubtedly go home completely satisfied !!

Thanks again for joining us on the latest edition of Kozzmozz!
Lots of familiar faces and friends to chat with and lots of different techno styles to dance to ... a bit of everything for everybody.
Metro Unit kicked off the main room with their Detroit inspired sound to warm up for Kevin Saunderson who played both new and old tracks and definitely had the room going with all the hands in the air !
In the meantime Tecnum proved his worth as young talent before Crisp launched the Bokal sound to a heated room. Kr!z did his thing in the main room and did it very well, Oscar Mulero continued on the same high speed pace.
And also in the Ultra room the pace was taken up a notch with Spacid & Seba Lecompte.
We hoped you enjoyed it as much as we did ! See u on the next one in September with The Advent & dj Bone + more tbc remember those days ...
Especially for Kozzmozz Mr. Kevin Saunderson has agreed to do a meet & greet with his fans.

We have selected our young talent through Poppunt and the winner is … Tecnum !
Tecnum has been playing on small parties and clubs since about 4 years such as Plus/Minus, Sundays at the Park and Decadance. A couple of years he started his own concept Playground in Zoox in Dendermonde with Mario and this Saturday he will be opening the Ultra room at Kozzmozz. Check his full biography : here

Red Bull Music Academy : it's now or next year...

Each year the Red Bull Music Academy stimulates musical talent by gathering the selected ones in one city and event with famous guest-speakers, studio-equipment and facilities.
This year’s city is Barcelona and the event takes place at the end of September and October. Some of the guests: A-trak & Mehdi, Carl Craig, Benga, DJ Premier & Tony Allen.
Want to be part of it and upgrade your skills ? You have until May 5th to send in your applications with mix-cd and pictures.
A huge thank you to everybody that joined us on Kozzmozz and was part of one of the best editions ever in Vooruit.
That special Kozzmozz atmosphere where everybody was dancing, screaming and meeting their friends to the top, very nice people all around, great music in two rooms, … Speedy J and Radial LIVE rocked the main room and also the dj’s in the minimal room brought some serious ‘minimal’ techno. We saw that it was good and you told us we were right !

Young Talent selected ! On Kozzmozz this Saturday we left a spot open to give a young talent again the opportunity to show his talent to our audience. Tom Dazing listened to the many entries we received through Poppunt and he selected DJ Hajime. His name is Japanese for 'Go or start'. He's been practicing at home for about 6 years and is now ready to show his skills in front of an audience for the very first time. Come and cheer him on ! On his current track-list are records by Melchior Productions, Shinedoe, Kabale und Liebe, Djinxx, Richie Hawtin and many more !

This next edition of Kozzmozz the Dutch are taking over the main room. First of all grandmaster Speedy J aka Jochem Paap who we know from his recent Collabs series and off course also older albums on Plus 8 and Novamute. Following in his footsteps are the young wolves of Radial Live who are making quite a name for themselves with their Audio Assault label and have a new ep out on our own resident Kr!z’ Token Records. Tomaz from Switch is our Belgian guest. And there’s more because on this Kozzmozz you will also find an Ultra room with more minimal sounds brought to you by Tom dazing who will also be choosing a young talent from our Poppunt contest. Franco Cangelli who has just a new record out on his own Aesthetik label and resident Spacid will join them !

Kozzmozz vs Tresor

The joint venture between Kozzmozz and Tresor proved to be a very good match. The many T-shirts ( with lots of different designs and from different years ) from both Tresor and Kozzmozz in the Vooruit showed how much our crowds like both concepts.
T-Quest ended his last set with his own track Upiter and we will dearly miss him ! Thanks again Stefaan for all the lovely years.
Both James Pennington & James Ruskin played many classics along new stuff and got a great atmosphere going. We went out with the though tempo of Kr!z and his amazing turntable skills. Want to see how it was, check the pictures and video’s in our media section. We also want to say sorry for the missing Tresor images on the screens but despite thorough briefing to Tresor, the guy we had over especially for that didn’t bring all that they promised to us such as the images … which was a shame indeed …

T-Quest farewell at Kozzmozz

It is with regret in our hearts that we have to let you know that will be the last gig of our longest running resident T-Quest on Kozzmozz this edition ( at least for a while … he may come back as a guest one day but will no longer be our resident ).
T-Quest is so busy with other projects and his family that he has to make some choices and after being with us for 12 years , he’s ready for new things ! So if you’re a big fan of T-Quest , please don’t miss out on this special moment and let’s send him off in style. He will be opening the room so come early and let him know how much you’ve appreciated his hard work over the many years !

From now on you will find a bankcontact cash terminal on all our K-events, from which you can retrieve as much money as you want.
You will be able to pay the entrance fee but also retrieve money to buy drink vouchers, merchandising or other things.
If you ask us, this comes in very handy. In the past, many people asked if they could leave to get some money.
Now this is possible without having to leave the venue. This way you won't miss a thing and you won't catch a cold. The service is totally free of charge!
So you can't say we don't love you.

We can already reveal that James Ruskin will drop by. He's touring to promote his fourth album - 'The Dash', due to be released on Tresor soon. During his tour he will perform at top notch clubs such as Tresor Berlin, Fabric London, Fabric Madrid and Florida 13. In Belgium you can check him out at the next Kozzmozz edition.
The last time James Ruskin played at Kozzmozz d ates back to 2003. Those who were there know why they shouldn't miss the next edition.

On Saturday, 6 October 2007 we celebrate our 12th anniversary. Who would have thought that a small party held on a boat would become the Kozzmozz that we know today, one of Belgium’s most prestigious techno events.
And we owe it all to you. There would be no parties and no atmosphere without the crowd.
This is why we would like to express our gratitude for your support during all those years.
We wouldn’t be here without you!
On 6 October, our celebration party will have a special treat for you, as a small token of our gratitude.

Kozzmozz together with Fuse took part to this year's City Parade.
The two biggest Belgian techno organizations shared a truck on which the atmosphere was truly electric.
The people definitely had their share of the fun and danced in the streets of Bergen/Mons creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
Kozzmozz resident Kr!z, Fuse residents Pierre, Deg and international guest Technasia played masterfully.

Kozzmozz returns to Vooruit

After holding an exclusive night in the Galveston building on the 24th March, the mothership returns to the amazing venue, Vooruit, the only protected monument in Flanders in which you can party and where there’s always a unique atmosphere.
We present you Johannes Heil and Robert Hood, next to our residents T-Quest and Kr!z on 30th June, an ideal occasion to celebrate the end of the exams and the beginning of the summer.
Kr!z is one of those few dj's who possesses the gift to play great records and have an astonishing mixing technique. And there's more: Kr!z recently presented his own label Token records, on which he released records by Inigo Kennedy and Sub Space (aka Julien and Gonzague).
Prepare for another Kozzmozz trip into space and far beyond.

The Kozzmozz is ever expanding, new universes of sound are being created even when reading this. Over the years Kozzmozz as explored different styles, different forms of what we call techno. In Galveston we have found a new place to call home. With that we decided to take on an adventurous new artist.
Someone we can explore the new sound of techno with.
Someone to guide us through the Kozzmozz trip.
A true captain of Belgian techno.
We are proud and so pleased to call Kr!z our new Kozzmozz resident. The token label boss started his career at the age of 14 and broke through as an exquisite dj in 2002. He already played for Kozzmozz several times (7 years K, 10 years K, 11 years K) and it just feels right.
All hail our new guide, our new captain in this Kozzmozz trip into space… and beyond.
